Peter has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the Millay Colony, and he was an artist-in-residence at the Eugene O´Neill Theater Center´s National Music Theater Conference. He has also been an invited participant in the New Dramatists´ Composer/Librettist lab and New York Theater Workshop´s Jonathan Larson lab. A native of Berkeley, California, he attended Yale University, where he graduated cum laude and with special distinction from the music faculty. He is a member of ASCAP, The Dramatists´ Guild, and Local 802 (A.F. of M.), and lives outside New York City with his wife, Kate Chisholm and their daughter, Grace.
