Film and television scores include several commercials; the theme
for Bill Moyers´s weekly series, LISTENING TO AMERICA; the
independent feature film, 93 MILLION MILES FROM THE SUN; &
numerous documentaries, including THE WORLD OF MADELEINE
L´ENGLE; and the Emmy-nominated PBS series, ART 21: ART IN
THE 21st CENTURY.
Peter has received fellowships and residencies from the MacDowell and Millay colonies, the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Music Theater Conference, and the Sundance Playwrights Retreat at Ucross. He is an alum of the BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop, New Dramatists Composer-Librettist Studio and New York Theatre Workshop Jonathan Larson Lab, and is currently a resident artist (as composer and librettist) in the American Lyric Theater Composer/Librettist Development Program.
A native of Berkeley, California, Peter graduated with honors from Yale University, and is a member of ASCAP and Local 802 (A.F. of M.), and lives outside New York City with his wife, Kate Chisholm, and their daughter.
